The Investigatory Powers Commissioner’s Office (IPCO) is an independent oversight body of the United Kingdom, that authorizes investigatory powers by intelligence and security forces. The Investigatory Power Act (IP Act) obliges the IPCO to report errors to the concerned individual if it is in the public interest. It is unclear though when exactly this obligation is triggered because even the breach of Human Rights is not sufficient to do so, according to the IP Act.
